This is a popular Grade B arch (an arch that is less than 5’ high opening). It shares most of the trail from Wildcat Parking lot with Sunset Arch, which is on the other side of Wildcat Creek. Personally, I don’t see why this arch is so popular since it is nearly the same size as the Arch of Triumph, which is much easier to get to.
This is a difficult arch to find since there is no trail to the arch, but a very clear pathway straight up the mountain that is easy to follow. Once you leave the creek you have a Class 4.1 long, very hard scramble straight up. Starting the climb to the right or left of the pathway is very detrimental since you will end up at almost unclimbable bluffs and fighting thorn bushes and rhododendrons the whole way. You must travel up and over the hill since the arch is on the other side.
Warning: If it starts raining or has recently rain, this trail becomes very dangerous during descent to the creek and should not be attempted.
