Arch of Triumph is a Grade B arch (perfect formed arch with an opening less than 4feet tall) and can easily be seen on your way to Star Gap Arch, which is a Grade A+ arch (gigantic arch). This is a very easy trail with parking in the Auxier Ridge Parking lot; in the 70’s-early 80’s, drove past the Arch of Triumph and parked at the end where you descend to the Twin Arch trail.
The entire hike to Arch of Triumph and Star Gap Arch is Class 1.0, except you end up on top of the Star Gap arch. To get inside Star Gap arch requires a ~20’ Class 3.0 scramble, but it is certainly worth it.
Although the trail to both the Arch of Triumph and Star Gap is well worn, you must know to turn off the well-worn path at the correct point. I have placed several logs across the pathway to indicate when to turn, but these logs will only last so long.
