Discover the Iconic Nada Tunnel

Drive Through the Historic Nada Tunnel

Nada Tunnel was constructed in 1910–1911 for a narrow-gauge logging railroad. The railway carried timber from the Red River Gorge toward a sawmill in Clay City. Today, the former railroad passage is a one-lane road through the mountain and a well-known gateway to the Gorge. It is approximately 900 feet long.
